On Tuesday, Apple quietly introduced a new way for consumers to access previous App editions for their aging hardware. For this writer the new feature is a welcome bit of coincidence. Just days ago, I had to Restore my iPad Gen 1, losing much of my app data and finding, to my dismay, that apps like Doodle.ly and Google Maps would not install on an iOS 5.1.1 device — they demanded iOS 6. That all changes today.
This is an especially smart move for Apple and its app developer partners as the company prepares to roll out iOS 7 updates to millions of device users. Obviously, that also means app developers are all upgrading their apps. Now you don’t have to worry that these software companies will develop you out of relevance: No, there will almost always be a legacy version of the app, just waiting for your iOS 5 or iOS 6 device.

The Ellen G. White Writings Comprehensive Research Edition 2008 represents a culmination of four years' work. It expands the Ellen G. White Writings Complete Published Edition 2007 CD to include two extensive collections of historical and Adventist pioneer material.
