PLAYHEAD Mac OS
Mac OS X 10.8.5-10.14 (10.15 Catalina not yet supported); Core Duo Processor (Core i5 or i7 Recommended) PC: Windows 10, 8 or Windows 7 Service Pack 1; Minimum Dual Core 2GHz (Intel Core i5 or i7 Recommended). The 'Catch Playhead' is one of the features available in GarageBand and Logic Pro X, but the implementation in GarageBand is limited. Logic provides the option to determine the behavior of the Catch Playhead (see screenshot below). One of those options is 'Catch when Moving Playhead'. This is the option that is always enabled in GarageBand.
Split selected region or event at the playhead. Join selected regions or notes. Loop selected region continuously. Ctrl + Shift + O. Add selected region to the Apple Loops Library. Rename the selected region. Turn Snap to Grid on/off. Option + Command + G. Show/Hide alignment guides. Start recording.
