Awesome quality! I've just tested the demo and must say this is one of the more impressive shareware releases for quite some time. Similar to games like Contra and Metroid on the SNES and Midnight Resistance on the Amiga this is the first side-scroller that's pure Mac and just oozes of quality. The only let down is the high computer demands. Seems that it need at least a 800 mhz g4 to be made justice. I can't help feel that this game really should have been HW accellerated trough OpenGL. In any case, if you have the hardware, take this baby for a spin! And if you have the time and inclination, the complete toolset to make you're own games are included. Hard to beat for the few dollars the developer asks for.

It is strange that I can run metal slug, a much better game, with better graphics, under EMULATION and it runs about 4x faster than this.

I really like the concept of this program, and the possibilites of making a cool game are there, but unfortunately the game runs impossibly slow on my machine (dual 1ghz w/gf4ti). I tweaked the graphics settings around, and managed to improve the play somewhat, but at the expense of quality. Unfortunately my dreams of creating a Gradius-style shooter have not yet been realized with this product.
